CONFERENCE DETAILS
The Nevada Department of Business and Industry, Division of Industrial Relations, and the International Workers’ Compensation Foundation are jointly sponsoring an Educational Conference which is unique in Nevada. The goal of this conference is to educate those who participate in the Nevada workers’ compensation system regarding current rules, procedures, policies and forms and to provide an opportunity for dialogue among these participants. Breakout sessions will be utilized to discuss certain topics in specific detail for a more specialized view while other topics will be presented from a more general perspective.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
All employers, employees, insurance adjusters and agents, self-insurers, third party administrators, safety and human resource managers, injured workers and attorneys, health care organizations, managed care organizations, researchers, medical providers and vocational rehabilitation counselors are encouraged to attend. In fact, anyone interested in the workers’ compensation system in Nevada will receive valuable information at the conference.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
Participants may be eligible for up to approximately 10 hours of continuing education credits. Applications are pending for Nevada attorney CLE (including 75 minutes Legal Ethics); Nevada Division of Insurance adjuster and insurance producer CE credits; CDMS & CCM CEUs for rehabilitation providers; and SHRM CEUs for human resources professionals. In addition, the session on disability rating meets the requirement under Nevada 616C.021(4)(d) to successfully complete biennially a course that is approved by the Administrator on rating disabilities, in accordance with the American Medical Association’s Guide. A certificate of attendance will be provided for other professional disciplines.

A block of rooms for attendees has been reserved at the conference hotel at the rate of $109 (single or double). Room rate will be $179 per night Friday & Saturday. The rooms will be held through August 10, 2024, unless this block become fully reserved prior to this date.
